The mirror knows

That I’m not happy

It always shows

When nobody else is around

When I do a workout

It’s only for external values,

Ending in another negative bout,

But I don’t let anybody notice 

When I cry,

The concealer covers it up

Making me feel more and more like a fraud 

Sometimes I think I should just give up 

The mirror knows the me

That isn’t always pretty and neat

But it’s me.

But I always feel that I shouldn’t be.

And nobody sees.
