STORY STARTER

'Diamonds are beautiful, but they are also strong.'

Use this as a metaphor in a story or poem

Carbon Diamonds

I’m the carbon,

buried miles underground,

Surrounded by diamonds.

Maybe, if I’m put,

Under enough pressure,

I could be beautiful.

Pushing,

Pushing,

Pushing.

Harder and harder,

I could become something,

I could be someone.

Crack, there goes my sanity.

Crack, there goes my innocence.

Crack, there goes my heart.

Pressure made you pretty,

But it only made me crumble,

Even worse than before.

Diamonds are beautiful,

But they are also strong.

Right now, I don’t feel like either.
