Shot to the moon,

My dream’s stardust,

Shouts from earth’s crust,

Echo till noon.

Shot past the shine,

The dots that hold,

A locket, sold,

To my heart, mine,

But when the stars fell,

I lost it all,

The lifelines I called,

Fester to hell.

Intwined fingers,

Charred a deep black,

Guidance I lack,

Always lingers.

Blind by the glum,

Clinging to walls,

As shadows fall,

On what I’ve become.

Shot to the moon,

I’m coated in dust,

Hopes left to rust

As stars no longer croon.
