POEM STARTER
Take the first line from a book and use it to begin a poem.
Try to choose a book at random and challenge yourself to write the poem around it, instead of planning to choose a book based on your poem idea.
My Only Regret
(Yes I used my book stfu)
I used to think I had no regrets,
Yet,
As I look into your cold eyes,
I feel it.
They reflect your soul,
Cold,
Completely void of feeling,
Dead.
The anger boils the blood under my skin,
Hot,
And it battles with the sadness in my bones,
Struggle.
There is no light,
None,
You are nothing but a lost cause,
Burdensome.
So when your breathing stops,
Smile,
So when your eyes glass over,
I laugh.
The blood pools,
Knife,
Buried in your flesh,
Dead.
I pull it slowly,
Pain,
I truely hope it hurts,
Burns.
I lick the knife clean yet you can’t see,
Blind,
It slices my tongue open,
I love it.
I used to think I had no regrets,
But,
I have one now.
You.
I regret letting this go on so long,
Permitting,
Each and every assult,
You Inflicted.
The blood pools in my mouth,
Drip,
Down my face, and onto yours,
This is art.
My only regret,
Yes,
I only have one,
Was letting you live this long.
