to the ash you breathe,

as the bodies left behind you,

your bones become infested

with termites until

you can’t stand

anymore,

your veins, filled

with writhing maggots,

as they

eat you, starting with each

organ, before

eating eachother.

snakes squirm within

your skull, until there

is no brain left, until

you can’t

see

hear

taste

touch

feel.

your eyes eaten by

the things you’ve done,

backfiring to show

what you have

become
