In a far away land

That lived in Boy’s head

Was an invisible worm

That was thin as a thread

It tunneled through thoughts

And weaved side to side

Like a slippery snake,

The worm grew in size

And nobody noticed

For how could they find

An invisible worm

That lived in Boy’s mind

So it wriggled and waggled

And ate at Boy’s brains

Til the words in Boy’s head

Pelted him like cold rain

So he hid for cover

In that far away land

And watched as the worm

Turned their world into sand

So far from home

There was nothing to do

So Boy buried his head

Until he became invisible, too
