On the first day, it was all uncertain. Nothing stood out against the light. The lord’s troops did not know where to march. Because of this, their individual eyes drifted them all apart.

On the second day, one of the lord’s troops found themselves in a daze, when they saw an eye-catching blot. It seemed so beautiful in that moment. It stood out so beautifully. It was invigorating. The troop chased it off.

On the third day, another of the lord’s troops stumbled amongst the trampled corpse of a young man. Hastily inspecting the area, the crow loomed overhead. As a piece of flesh dropped from its mouth, the troop called for help, and so did the crow. One by one, crows and troops marched into battle.

On the fourth day, the king called for his troops. He was greeted by a single crow, wearing the caked helmet of a prior troop. It looked much uglier in the palace.
