serene

walking by

the nest of sea turtles

walking in the waves

until your hands are filled with shells

watching the ocean

breathe steady breaths

the ocean, it seems,

is more steady than

any living thing

aside from trees,

which sometimes (oftentimes)

will fall and die

but the ocean is

millions of

years old:

a hostess of life

and it is serene

to walk beside it
