POEM STARTER

Write a poem comparing a house and a home.
House/home.
A house stands strong,
But it’s not yet warm,
A house protects,
Yet lacks a charm,
Lacks the glimpses of peace,
Flurrying around a home,
It lacks smiles, laughter,
The memories that roam,
In a house, you can’t hide,
And feel comfort, feel free—
Not yet, atleast,
The house is still empty,
Once you make it your own,
You accept, adapt, embrace,
Discovering that the cold,
Has a kind, gentle face,
That cuddles you with fleece,
Gives you warmth you’ll never forget,
A house is a roof over your head,
But a home is what you can make of it.
