STORY STARTER
Write a story that ends with the line, 'Amidst the chaos, I fade away peacefully in your arms.'
Note that this character doesn’t necessarily have to be dying.
As the Deer Cried Dry Tears
Grieving still the loss of her innocence
Although through many years and trials it has gone away
She cries dry tears
For she has used all of them up
And she still thinks of him
As she gazes into her reflection from the bridge
No ripples to represent
The sorrow that flows through her being
And there she sits
Wind blowing from her eyes
Soft reflections dancing in them
Too tired for tears
She thinks of his smile
And the way he laughs
And wants to see him
But knows she can't
But there have been so many emotions this summer
And all of them have wrung her dry
And as the deer panted for the water
So her soul longs for nourishment from above
And she looks up to the great sky above
And she cries out in a loud voice
So with descent of love and peace and mercy
Her spirit is again filled to overflowing
And the problems do not disappear
The tears, they still do not come
But amidst the chaos
She fades away peacefully in His arms.
