Fighting

(Based on the song Zombie by The Cranberries and the remake Zombie by Bad Wolves)

We live in a land

Where the footprints

Of ghosts linger

You can see the scars

Within the ground

Left behind

You go there

You can almost

See them

You go there

You can almost

Hear the yelling and gunshots

Repeated through the ages

1861, 1916, 1941

Are only a few

You go there

and it’s like

You were there yourself

When will it stop?

Will it ever?
