We had somehow come home early, from the neighbors house

We yelled for Ma through the halls, as home is quiet as a mouse

Our small feet running from room to room, and climbing the stairs

My small young feet, followed as we all wanted lunch of fresh pears

We stopped at the large, locked door where our Mom went to sleep

Sis found the key, near the desk in the hall and behind secrets keep

Mom was sleeping on her bed, with a red dress with rose button

We tried to wake her up, but she wouldn’t get up sleep glutton

We ran down the dark wooden staircase, and got the people next door

They called the police, and flew her to the hospital with lines on the floor
