POEM STARTER
"Deep down, you're really shallow"
Paradox - a phrase which would appear to contradict itself, but makes metaphorical sense. Write a poem that starts and ends with a different paradox.
She’s Such A Bitch
I know exactly who I am
And all of the things that
Made me this way
I know that I’m confrontational
And cocky
And egocentric
And bad at writing poetry
But that’s not your problem
I know I’m spoiled
I brag too much
I’m privileged and detached
And I have no right to complain
But that’s not your problem
I know I assume we’re friends
Because why wouldn’t we be?
And I know I don’t look gay
And I don’t want a relationship
But that’s not your problem
I know I’m such a bitch
And I can’t communicate
And I don’t care about
the male loneliness epidemic
But that’s not your problem
And it’s really fucking immature
To gossip and complain
About someone you barely know
Because I know exactly who I am
And what it’s like to be around me
But you don’t know me
So stop acting like I’m a bad person
What the flip.
