Klaus And The Papaya

The white schnauzer hopped up on the couch, begging his owner to let him sit. The owner, Lizzy, moved and let him sit down next to her. She continued texting her friend like before, then thought something. Maybe this would be the moment when her dog would finally let her pet him. The dog growled ferociously and bared his teeth. Lizzy stuck her hand back to its original position and carried on, texting her friend.

The girls mother walk in, carrying an array of bags. Lizzy sat up, which caused the dog to go crazy. He jumped off of her lap and ran to his pickle toy, which he chewed crazily.

Lizzy walked over to her mother and helped her put the grocers in the right spot. As she was doing this, she reached into one of the plastic bags and pulled out a strange fruit. It was shaped like and elongated watermelon, and was very colorful.

Klaus, the white schnauzer from before, came over. He seemed very intrigued with the fruit. After Klaus followed Lizzy for a bit, not taking his eyes off of the fruit, he strikes. Klaus jumped up and ripped the fruit out of the girls hand. He ran through the door, where more groceries were still being unloaded from the car.

Klaus ran down the street, taking turns where he pleased. Eventually, Klaus came to a sudden halt at a house. He scurried up the porch and scratched on the door.

“Finally, you’re here,” said a voice. A girl opened the door, about the same young age as Lizzy. She let Klaus in like he was the most royal thing anyone had ever laid their eyes upon.

“Sorry, but it’s not my fault. That girl was taking quite a long time to let me snatch it from her. What is this thing anyways?” The dog said, and eyed the strange fruit as the girl, Marina, picked it up.

“A papaya. Come, I’ll show you.” Mariana let Klaus follow her into her kitchen, where she proceeded to open the papaya. It had orange flesh and tiny black seeds.

Klaus marveled at the fruit, licking his lips with a smirk. “Here you go.” Mariana said, and tossed the papaya to Klaus.

He ate it happily, then started wheezing creepily. Klaus twitched aggressively and started spinning. It eventually stopped, and he was no longer a dog.

“KLAUSY, NO.” Said Mariana. The papaya had turned him into one. She picked it up and sighed, “I will fix this, or I am not your favorite person ever. And I am.”

Mariana set Klaus the Papaya down and began working. She tried to feed him dog treats, but he didn’t have a mouth. She tried to sing him a song, but he didn’t have ears. She even tried to dance for him, but he couldn’t see her.

Mariana was about to give up when she realized something. She set the papaya on the counter and carved out a mouth for it.

“Help me, please.” Klaus the Papaya could finally say. Mariana carved a cookie she found into the shape of a dog. She shoved it into the mouth and started spinning it around crazily.

Klaus transformed back into a dog and gave a sigh of relief, “Phew. I’m never eating a papaya again.”

So, Klaus he flew back home with his jet pack. Lizzy would be there waiting for him, and probably try to pet him again. You know Klaus and Mariana did learn something from that. Papayas taste good.
