The Blade
I slam my door
Curl up on the floor
Hugging my knees to my chest
Tears are pouring down my face
I scream
No one hears me
So I scream again
And again
I struggle to my feet
Open my drawer
Take the knife
Drag it across my skin
The tears keep falling
But the screams are subsiding
The blood is dripping down my arm
Onto the floor
I keep dragging the blade across me
Until I feel okay
