Walking through the airport,

I see people of all types,

And they are all beautiful.

The little kids hanging onto their mothers,

The teenage girl my age fiddling with her headphones,

The shady businessman.

Eh he might not be beautiful.

He looks like he’s going to kidnap me…

I turn my gaze away, and meet the eyes of the aforementioned girl.

She beautiful, and looks kind.

Maybe if I approach her we could be friends.

But then she leaves,

And oh the gate area seems to deflate from losing her presence.

In a different timeline,

She could have changed my life,

But as I board my plane,

I have already forgotten.
