She was two and she had no filter.
She let you know all that she felt.
The head bang for the wrong bowl.
The big feelings for little things.
Happy! Happy! She squeaked!
She was two and she had no nuance.
Her birthday was just as important as,
A walk to the park on a sunny day,
A bicycle ride without any preamble.
Happy! Happy! She screeched.
She was two and danced in cycles.
It was an outsize celebration,
For her very own, her very first,
Big girl blanket!
