Man loves evil -

That is clear.

And God loves man

But evil, evil loves none,

So why chase evil

When God chases man?

Daughter chases man -

How unfortunate for us.

Mother chases daughter

So does man

But then man chases

another daughter

Daughter cries

Mother sobs.

I think perhaps we chase the things

We cannot have

And scorn the things

We can

What if we were content?

Would we be happy?

Would we be tormented?

What is contentment?

I have not known it

And I do not think many have -

if any.

My words have sometimes no meaning

Sometimes lots

I have sometimes the feeling of

Everything

And sometimes the feeling of

Nothing at all

But still I chase the words

and the words chase something far away from me

I do not know what that thing chases

But I know it's not me
