STORY STARTER
“I really can’t stand you.”
“Then why are you still listening to me?”
Write a short story that features this piece of dialogue.
a trouble of mine
i can’t stand
you anymore
then why
listen?
because if i didn’t
it’d hurt you,
i’d become the
villain
because i tried
to save myself
because caring
is selfish
and hurting
is selfless
well then leave,
i don’t care,
the tears will become
one with the
earth!
guilt tripping
me
again!!
haven’t you had
enough of my
blood spilled
on the dirt?
and you wonder
why i want
to leave but don’t.
i don’t know!-
please tell me,
i don’t care
if the truth
hurts, i
really don’t!
you want the
truth? the blunt
way, without
the sugar
coating?
without the sugar
fine.
you are
too soft, things come
too personally to
you, everything
becomes about
you the second
i tell you of
a trouble
of mine,
for example,
don’t you remember
when i told you
of the blood
under my nails?
yes, i
believe i said
i’m sorry
you did, but then
you said you wished
there was something
you can do,
and then immediately
apologized
because
“you’re a
bad friend”
and i can’t help
but agree
