STORY STARTER

Write a story that centres around a superstition.

For example, your story could revolve around the number thirteen, associated with bad luck in western cultures but good luck in some eastern cultures. Or you can make up your own superstitions.

Just My Luck

Unlucky lucky

Charms and numbers

To luck the key

Is unlucky thunder

But my luck goes just like that

I’m a superstitious maniac

Luck is something I really lack

So I got every charm in my lucky sack

I broke a mirror,stared at it

Sat on a bench that said “don’t sit”

I was puzzled then I realised

That it was a wet paint sign

Breakfast at last what could go wrong

Spilled the salt,knocked it of

I need to stay calm I need to stay strong

Then came home that day….with wet socks

Stepped on a crack on Friday 13

Bumped into a stranger and caused a scene

Like I’m not trying to be rude or mean

It’s just how my life’s been

Walking home,stepped on a drain

Got home late because I missed the train

Stared at my cracked mirror again!

Why does life have to be a pain

Went under a ladder

Saw 9 black cats

Wish my life would be gladder

Then saw my dress ruined by rats!

Flipped a coin tails up

Opens an umbrella indoors

Yes yes,my life sucks

But you know what…there more!

Went to the stables

Saw a horse shoe…down!

Wanna get rid of these superstitious labels

But they just keep coming around

Lucky ,unlucky…crazyness

Separated like the moon and the sun

Like how you would get gifts or coal on Christmas

But you only get one…

I am done with this mayhem

And obviously mine Is the lack of luck

I guess I’ll be fine…. Don’t think too much

Wait what am I doing up…at 3am!!!
