POEM STARTER

Submitted by XOXO, Z A I N 🩵

“Clouds cover the skies, rain pulls at your eyes,

but nothing hurts as much as little words turned lies'

Use this stanza as either part of, or inspiration for a poem.

Rain

The scent of cheat, wore its self on the shirt he wore

She gave him her time, and affection I guess I’m a bore

Flimsy non verbal ghost, like excuses to long to hear or tell

Every noise of the doorbell, or the jingle phone it’s pure hell

Night after day, I am quietly thinking and planning in my head

He sleeps in another’s bed, and bad dreams visit him soon ahead

The pain that is written, in the lies served up to me on my plate

I am a very strong woman, and my life moves on it’s not to late

“Clouds cover the skies, rain pulls at your eyes, but nothing hurts

As much as little words turned lies”.
