“Look! Look!” My brother shoved his phone in my face. When I glanced up from my bowl of cereal I was meet with a photo of a pretty lady. She had big blue doe eyes. A button nose. Beautiful flowing brown hair with blue streaks.

“I’m meeting with her tonight!” My brother pulled the phone back and shoved it in his pocket. “Can you please help me get ready?”

“Fine,” I sigh taking the final bite of my cereal.

I get him dressed in a black shirt and black bottoms. I throw a dark green jacket at him. “Here.” I hand him a 20 dollar bill. “Don’t buy her flowers or anything buy her a nice necklace and chocolates.”

“But I thought ladies liked flowers on dates.” He folded the 20 dollar bill and put it in his pocket.

“Well I’m a lady and you’re not, so I know what’s best.” I walk over to him and fix the cuffs of his sleeves. “What do you do when you pick her up?”

“Open the door for her, and compliment her hair.”

“Perfect! You’re ready.” I walk out of his room so that he can fantasize about them getting married.

My brother left about an hour ago. He hasn’t answered any of my texts. Maybe it’s going well.

*knock*

I grunt and get up to open the door. When I do there my brother is. On the verge of tears, a dirty jacket, chocolate smeared on his shirt, and holding a broken necklace.

“She’s not who she says she is.”
