My head swivels in all directions looking

My eyes find him

He look up

I look away

My eyes are always looking for him

My mouth always saying his name

My ears straining to hear his voice

In the hall I drop my book

He picks it up and hands it to me

Smiles politely

I smile back

Inside though

I’m ecstatic
