Why am I doing this? I think the myself as I nervously glance into the dark body of water.

I look back to see my friends jaunting me in. Their hands waving me towards the sea.

My body shaking, my stomach turning into mush. I take a deep breath, swallow my spit, and look into the water, the waves calmer now.

“Here it goes,” I say as I nervously cannonball into the freezing water.

I hear laughing behind me as I try and stay afloat, I turn around and glare, my eyes freezing cold marbles of anger.

I step onto the rocks and hold my footing as I grab onto other parts, hauling myself up onto dry land, no one caring to help me.

A towel lands on my face, I grab it and huddle into it as if my life depended on it.

Freezing I look over to my friends, smile, and say “How was that?”
