I DON'T WANT TO RUN OUT OF REASON AND BE THE BURDEN OF PEOPLE'S MISCONCEPTIONS

SYNONYMOUS WITH THIS ROMANTICIZED, RUGGED

MASCULINE IDEAL OF TEXAS

TO DRAW AN AMERICANA CROWD

AND UNFLATTERING PORTRAYALS

FADED INTO TOURIST TRAP PRIDE.


TO BE MISUNDERSTOOD IS THE SAME AS DYING...

We Spit On Your Face 

We waited for you

Only ten minutes late


We smelled that you had to much to drink!

The alcohol made us gag

Told him, go home and sleep it off!

Your two sheets to the wind


OK, he said, but first, let me have a smoke

Pulls out a cigar with a lighter

Before you know it

His beard started smokin


Being drunk as a skunk,

Angry Spit

Doing nothing wrong with my business when this bit at his face angry because the spit made his face dirty if felt stupid awful bullied pull down what you did not deserve you lashed out on to punch them.

That was horrible. It was nauseous. It had tiny acidic to it but it was the impression of the thought....

Lingering Projections

They spit in his face, then wonder why he is so angry.

They force him to change, then shame him for being different.

They belittle him, and wonder why he lives in solitude.

They ask him to do something, then get mad at the outcome.

It seems that no matter what he does, the reaction will always be the opposite.

He will never please, nor satisfy them all.
