Nova doesn’t like Don.

If she puts aside the fact that he is a danger to Oreza, he is so full of himself. She’s surprised that anyone else can fit in the room when he enters.

Like she knows that he has powers and can stop anyone in their tracks but he could pretend to be just a smidge humble.

The former king, Prince Sebastian is a mystery to her. She can’t tell if he trusts Don the wizard or ...

What Lives Behind Closed Doors?

Nestled in a quiet corner of Everwinter Avenue, a small, peacful brown bricked house, lay, home to a beautiful girl named Evelyn. And yet, Evelyn was far from at peace. My Killer Neighbor

My across-the-street neighbor killed someone. This is my evidence.

She brought home a new trash can, a rake, and a shovel. One day, she left

the house with a small suitcase and came back with a huge crate. Normally,

she would open her drapes when she was home. Now, her drapes are closed all

day every day. On another day, I heard a noise like a power saw. So, I know

she cut him or her up and hid t...

Lock Your Windows

Lock your doors

These newbies are weird

They approach

with no fear

and with a pie

Who does that?

Lock your windows

Neighbors just chat

at the mailboxes

with no real information

Just to talk

Who does that?

I locked my doors

I locked my windows

But as I cower in the corner

of my room, staring

at the window

I hear a knocking

At the door first

Then on the glass

A small tap

I see a hand

It’s them...

The Car

“I have been seeing a car, sitting in the driveway of my neighbors yard for around fifteen days now. It never moves. Its sketchy.” I say to my therapist.

“You’re paranoid, it must be a work car that only drives during the night.” She answers.

“I am not paranoid, I have been up all night before. I watch that very car.” I respond. “I know there is something wrong with her,” I explain to my therapist...

Stereotypical

In a stereotypical manner he looked out his window through a crack in the blinds, one hand on the hip, the other spreading the blinds a part. He called over his shoulder to his wife in the kitchen, “Dave’s at it again!”

Rolling her eyes she marched into the front room chastising him, “Would you just leave him alone, give him the privacy you would want!”

He didn’t even care to look back at her to...

Tuna?!

Every single day, almost like clockwork, this lady would get up, groan and scream at whatever she felt like. Then, she would proceed to hit something, another scream followed, then silence for around half an hour. After silence she would start her motorcycle, drive off around 2am and return around 6 with a duffel bag. I had to live next to this woman. And I was beginning to think, she was up to no...
