When did I start being so suspicious?

Maybe it’s the people I’ve met that are nasty & vicious.

Sometimes I put everything to question.

It can be an incredibly, tormenting obsession.

Every man I see, I suspect is the devil.

My suspicion is on another level.

Every person I meet I question their thoughts,

My stomach churns, all tangled in knots.

I remember a time when there was no one I didn’...

Everything’s wrong,

When my fingers & toes are twitching under the table.

Sometimes I try but the words come out sloppily;

For some reason, this way, I can express my thoughts properly.

I try to explain but my mouth can be dodgy,

So I’ll rhyme instead of converse, it’s way less stodgy!

I can use different words, I might not every day,

It’s fun, mischievous; like a chil...

Flowers dont care what you happen to wear today.

They certainly don’t worry about the state of your hair today.

Flowers dont stop growing because a ‘friend’ did you wrong;

They continue to flourish, saying “Look, life goes on.”

Where I once smelled safety in the spring smelling leaves,

Now lurks danger, worry & all the pet peeves.

“Green for go, let’s do this!” old, naive me would have said.

New me, only see’s dangers & no way’s; I only see red.

I took for granted, how everything felt so fantastic

Now full of fear, irrational & drastic.

I tried to speak but you never heard.

No, nothing was ever horribly unpleasant,

But my God did you make me feel like an outcast nerd.

I came to you & you laughed in my face,

From young I learned to cry on my own.

Holding myself in a lonely embrace;
