Left Behind

Taken away, forced to a new place,

After years of silence, they gave few calls,

I feel unseen, like they forgot my case.

I sent out letters, after finding my face,

But no one cared to break the walls,

There sits my old name, my forgotten face,

Ignoring my signs, dismissing my falls,

I feel unseen, like they forgot my case.

Trauma block...

I’m not going to full on complain

I’m aware you can’t have sunshine without a little rain

But the memories linger in my brain

It’s time to let it out by writing down my pain

My childhood is a blur of mostly bad

Yet somehow I grew up thinking it was great, everything I had,

For years I watched you raise me and my brother on your own,

I watched you get abused,

I watched you cry alone

But you weren...

Let me demonstrate my struggles of getting my poetry started. All of the pain and trauma can definitely incapacitate one’s motivation and thoughts. That will no longer be allowed and my words will solidify my strength and love for poetry....
