Mistake

Everlast

1 min read

And i remembered

That one time

You kissed me on the cheek

And i remembered

That one time

We drove to the creek

And i remembered

How much

I had loved you

Yet now

I have

Done sins

And as i fell

Down from

All my achievements in life

I had to

Remember

You.

Your

Curly

Hair

Your

Shimmering

Eyes

Your

Loving

Smile

You

My beautiful

Spouse

As tears

Fell down

My cheek

As i realized...

And as i stepped in from the outside

And as i fought to shield my eyes

And as the tears welled down my face

As i cried

And as you turned your head to stare

And as that other guy glared

And as you began to explain

As i yet cried out in pain

And as i thundered out the house

And as you, my lovely spouse

And as you and your new guy shook

As i said angrily

They All Knew

Everlast

1 min read

The stars smiled upon us, as if they knew we’d soon join them.

The lights flickered in judgment, as if they disapproved they way we would pass.

The cloth ripped in anger, as if it were furious we would disappear.

The people stared at us, as if they knew that we would go.

15 months later, the stars smiled again.

15 months later, the lights flickered again.

15 months later, the cloths ripped again....

Mountain Upside Down

Everlast

1 min read

Clouded sky

With

Pinks and blues

Birds overhead

Chirping

To the snooze.

A large formation

Sticking

Out of the earth

With soft land

And

Many creatures.

Why don’t

We

Lend a hand?

‘Cause it’s not

Being

Treated and respected

We gotta step up

And

Help.

Smokey sky

With

Ash in the air

No birds overhead

That

Chirp.

A large formation

Sticking

Out of the earth

With bare lands

The Bird Has A Secret

Everlast

1 min read

A beautiful voice

it has

A beautiful cage

It has

With

piercing black eyes

And

Scruffy feathers

And

A secret.

For

Whenever I take

It out

To fly

It always

Flys off

High in

the sky

And

even from

Down here

On earth

I

Can hear

It singing

I admire it’s voice

Melodious

like a flute

I admire it’s pitch

At the

Perfect tune

I admire it’s words

Such an excellent

Choice of sounds

The Gazed At Her, Why Not Me?

Everlast

1 min read

Tv on

Someone gone

‘Ring’ at my door

Fall to the floor (in surprise)

They’re right there

The one missing “Tear” (the narrator is tearing a newspaper in anger)

Softly says ‘hi’

Must be shy

Drag outside

To the police

File a complaint

This story isn’t straight

Not a laughing matter

More a crashing-splatter

Police gaze in awe

At her.

All Because Of A Kiss

Everlast

1 min read

Lights go out

Scream and shout

Warm bright kiss

Still not bliss

Turn and yell

Anger and I fell

Darkness around

Going to playground

Crying loudly

No happiness proudly

The door between

Now not preened

Years later

Keep the cater

Same thing

She has all the bling

Forever alone

Never to be found

Fate is sealed

No happiness....

They Are CannÂĄbals

Everlast

1 min read

Greys and blues

Foes and fiends

Running altogether.

Crashing shatter

Fall down

‘Splatter’.

Crackling lights

Dark nights

Fall to a trip

Blood goes ‘drip’.

Cornered in a lot

They had a plot

Should have fought

We can sought.

Now not matter

Food on a platter

CanÂĄballs, they are....

P.S. My Wife Is Not A Dog

Everlast

1 min read

I can never stay in one place

It feels like that makes me a disgrace.

Need to be outside of this house,

WAIT! I forgot my spouse-

Rushing back to that cramped little space,

Grabbing her nicely, and throwing a leash around her neck.

. . . I’m TOTALLY married to a dog.

Letting the sun blare warm on my face

Letting the weeds scrape my legs.

Skipping around on a hot, summer, day

Sunbathi...

Fire

Everlast

1 min read

The crackling light that glows in a dark room,

The gas that can melt you into a crisp.

The thing everyone is scared of-

Except me.

I don’t get why they dislike it,

Why they have an entire job to stop it in it’s path.

I don’t get why they flea when it catches their sight,

Leaving everything behind.

The beautiful light,

The warm feeling it makes,

The nice smell of smoke,

Like you’re right next to...
