The world is filled with enough darkness. We owe it to readers to remind them that there is still light. ✨ ~ You are immeasurably loved by the God who created you ~ I'm not allowed to talk to others, but I read & greatly appreciate all feedback! 🤍

Forgiven

S.A. Eaglerain

1 min read

(Reposted for Easter)

Yesterday was the darkest day

The world has ever seen.

The day when Governor Pilate asked,

"Shall I crucify your King?"

"Crucify Him! Crucify Him!"

Came the shout from all the Jews.

The Lamb of God, the Blameless One,

Charged falsely beneath the light of moon.

"Do it yourselves!" Came Pilate's reply,

"For I find no fault in Him."

So the Jews took the Messiah to be crucifie...

Letting Go

S.A. Eaglerain

1 min read

Giving up things

That we hold so dear

Is a nuisance to know it means

Facing our fear

Letting go of

All these worldly possessions

Leads to recognizing our own

Deep obsessions

Yet there is a Man

Who gave everything for me

He layed it all down

To wash my soul clean

God incarnate,

My Savior and King,

Gave up His life

So these lungs could sing

And if the King of all Kings

Chose to lay it all down,...

Breaking Free

When did you

Believe the lie

That you weren't

Pretty enough?

When did you

Believe the lie

That you weren't

Happy enough?

When did you

Believe the lie

That good things never

Last forever?

When did you

Believe the lie

That no one could ever love

You forever?

When did you

Believe the lie

That no one

Truly cared?

When did you

Believe the lie

That you were the only

One scared?

When did you

Saved

S.A. Eaglerain

1 min read

To live is Christ,

To die is gain,

So why am I afraid

Of feeling pain?

What is good

The world calls woe

And evil broods

An unwelcome foe.

Where are You

When my eyes can't see?

Am I through,

Or is it just me?

You said "Go",

And I said "How?

How can I show

Your love in the crowd?"

And You said "Dear one,

open your eyes.

For you are not

Alone in this fight."

So I lift my gaze

And take a step

I am not a straight-A student...

Yet.

I am not the world's best friend...

Yet.

I am not the expert on my favorite topic...

Yet.

I am not free from sin...

Yet.

I am not Home...

Yet.

Yet someday, I will be. 🤍✝️...

Monstrous Pride

S.A. Eaglerain

1 min read

It's a common, horrid thing,

That contains the letters

P-R-I-D-E

It squelches gracious mercy,

And laughs at moral

Humility

It rears its head and screams

And says, "I'm more than

Enough, you see."

It leaves no room for forgiveness

Or love, focused

Only on being greatness

It's monstrous face is not

A scare, but welcomed by

Most on the block.

Woe to us, our blinded eyes,

How can we not see the
