Tree Roots.

Lilybelle

1 min read

In the richest soil, uprooted flourished trees of all shades of the seasons.

Sweeping colors of brown and green

Pink and yellow.

Beneath all the rich soil, laid deep-rooted

Withered and frail

Dull tree

Instead, it watched

As others were being played with by children

Supporting the littlest of nests and animals

And flaunting their vibrant leaves.

The withered tree soaked in awe, using the litt...

Sun God

Lilybelle

1 min read

The Sun God lounged in his sun-dust throne. Star servants shooting past the halls of his throne room , others carrying out their daily tasks, while The Sun God watched blankly. “My God of life and light, the night is ending and the sun has yet to rise.” A Star Folk informed the Sun God his usual routine. He mustn’t be a moment late or a moment early. “I’ll report to my watch tower this moment.” T...

Where’d All The Time Go?

Lilybelle

1 min read

Heavy rain pours from the fluffy clouds, and into the backyard. Our hands stained with sticky melted popsicles as we pour dish soap against the trampoline, forming slippery and foamy bubbles. Not a care in the world as the rain subdued our laughter and envoloped us into bliss.

Now, in a blink of an eye, it sits deserted, abandoned in the backyard.

Hoping one day it would all go back to what it on...

Puddle Of Betrayal

Lilybelle

1 min read

The ink of my pen drips down my hand into a puddle of dark reflection of nothingness

Leaving behind scratches of flaring claws running down my arm

Like the coffee stained paper spread across my desk.

As I print these words

You left behind in the golden corners i upheld for you of my heart

Flaring scratches and the tip of your pen logged through my heart.

A pen playing with fire of my wooden hea...

Storm Of Pain

Lilybelle

1 min read

Pain.

It’s come crashing down on the weak

Faithful to those that are hurt the most

Known no boundaries

Up roaring above all.

But only do few are left uninjured

With injuries left behind by the storm

Only a few overcome the injuries

The damage left behind

Other storms leave a scratch

The Storm of Pain is stubborn

With its violent winds.

Comes knocking down your door unexpectedly

Pain.

Leaving Cloud

Lilybelle

1 min read

I’ll stay here forever and a day.

Up in my little cloud

From up here where I can’t dream of you

Without anyone seeing me cry

No one to point a finger at my remorse

But like I did,

My little cloud of dreams is leaving.

From up here, I can’t hear your soothing voice

I can't see your sky-blue eyes

Where I can’t touch your silken hair

“I will never leave you.” I promised

It hurt more when you po...

Bittersweet Cherries

Mother’s Day was especially dedicated to Morgan’s mother. She Face timed her at exactly 6:02 PM, wishing her a happy Mother’s Day. She could feel Mother’s squeal of excitement from the other line. _“I’ll let you know all the details when I get back, sweetie.”_ Her mother’s high heels clanked on the side and her car keys jingled as she strolled to the restaurant. Morgan could make...

Your Eyes

Washed Up Memories

Lilybelle

1 min read

I had everything I wanted.

Don’t you miss it too?

Shards of incomplete,

Foggy memories.

Now lost in the sea of forgotten

Past reminders

Wanting so desperately to put the pieces back

together

To see the reflection of precious moments one last time.

A sea where a young girl used to bathe in

The sea where she would let her father carry her to the scary, deeper side of the ocean

The sea which mom ...

His Failed Experiment.

Lilybelle

1 min read

“Clean up the blood. I’ll get rid of the expirement.” The scientist demanded his young assistant who was frozen. Not at the blood-curling sight of the corpse—if he could even call it that, but at the order. “Yes, doctor.” The assistant said brightly and didn’t waste another moment. The scientist wiped the sweat from his brow with the back of his blood-drenched sleeve and huffed.

The beakers and e...
