"So, Onyx..." the interrogator began the sentence I dreaded the most: " Tell me about what happened on February 19. "

FEBRUARY 19, 2025

"I woke up not knowing what kind of day this would be. I had a really good feeling; I was in a great mood when the day started. I woke up, got dressed, brushed my teeth, and ate breakfast, the day was going great. I went to my office to train the new employees; nobody wants to train the newbies; they are completely clueless. By the end of the day, I was completely exhausted, this is when it all began."

"Onyx, are you leaving out any key details to keep yourself safe and minimize charges?" the interrogator interrupted. "I am already in custody, why would I lie?" "Fair point, Onyx. Continue."

"Well, I got into my car and started driving to what I had thought was my apartment building. I did not sleep much the night before the incident; therefore, I was extremely tired. I swear, he came out of no where. He pulled out infront of me in the intersection!”

The interrogator looked at me, “Onyx, we have surveillance. You ran a red light and t-boned him. It killed him.”

I looked at him, tears fell out of my eyes, “I..” I stuttered, “I swear I didn’t mean to. I’m just going through a really rough time right now I’m sorry. IM SORRY!”

“I’ve heard all I needed to hear.” the interrogator walked out of the room.

I looked at the pen he left on the table. I thought for a minute. I clicked the pen, and before I could think, I slit my wrists to the bone.

I never suffered the consequences for my actions.
