POEM STARTER
Submitted by peoplearejerks246
Write a poem about a scream.
Where is the scream coming from? How long have they been screaming? Will it ever end?
Screaming
The world is screaming
Can’t you hear?
A guy-wrenching cry
That grows worse every year
The birds have all migrated
Each to their own stars
That are scared away by cities
That are overrun with cars
Overpriced, and cranky cars
That yell and speed and stall
Unnecessarily necessary cars
I wish I could bury them all
Bury? How could we?
There’s nowhere to dig
For we’ve downsized our world
Just to make it seem big
And the world is still screaming
Or have you forgot?
We forget, how easy it is to forget
When we’ve spend our lives learning to rot
