I belong with the trees

I’ve never fit in with people

I’ve always fit in with the streams

I walk within the ocean

Feeling sand on my feet

I feel free among this beautiful world

Sitting by my twin, the only person who makes me feel safe to express the real me

I know I’ll reincarnate into a redwood tree

Providing shade, oxygen, and comfort for the creatures around me

I know I’ll be near a body of water that I can admire from afar & she’ll admire me

I know I’ll love the creatures who take care of me

I know my twin will be beside me In every lifetime

Her & I belong within this earth

Our roots growing beneath the crust

Being together in one of the only places we feel like we belong
