POEM STARTER
Moonshine and Moonlight
Write a poem which centres on these words. How can you pair these similar words with very different meanings in a poem?
Ode to Stars
Moonlight is my moonshine,
Orion my opium.
Cassiopeaia is cocaine to me
Perseus my pills.
Standing under the watchful eyes
Of seven sisters
And gazing upon them
In wonder,
I am addicted,
Enthralled,
By the treasures of the
Night sky.
Moonshine is nothing;
Moonlight is everything
What pleasures do I need
When I stand underneath billions of them?
