POEM STARTER

In a poem, write about a love triangle between three people.

Will you write from each person's perspective with unique voices, or omnisciently tell the whole story?

Sines of Affection

I’ve always been a little round,

Full of too much pie.

But I never thought you’d sleep around,

Or give threesomes a try.

You’ve always been such a square,

Straight edged as they come.

But now you put this out there,

And suggest it could be fun.

I always thought you were 2D,

Always the same angles.

So whilst it surprised me,

The idea sparkled like a bangle.

Who would be our third, I said.

A cute girl or a cute guy?

Someone tall? Or short instead?

So many options we could try.

So balanced, it is you we try,

Level like the two of us.

Devoting time to either side,

You won’t make a fuss.

It’s like you’re on the same plane too,

No emotions to untangle.

Circle, square and now with you,

We’ve completed our love triangle.
