Class Of 2026
Senior year closed in on me.
Senior portraits
Senior sunrise
Senior year.
And yet
I lay in my room
Preparing to work the next morning
Where I have worked for the past 3 years.
Waiting for summer to end
And my last year of high school
To begin.
Throughout high school I have lost friends,
And I have gained friends.
I have a boyfriend of one year,
And good grades.
I have lived here for 9 years.
Same house,
Same room,
Same people,
Since 3rd grade.
All I can see is that it's ending.
I know my future holds a lot.
I'm just not ready
To let go of my present
And go into the unknown.
And suddenly,
It was all becoming real.
