It happens every so often and I can’t really control it. The sound that emanates from my entire body is unlike anything I ever remember making. It sounds almost as if I’m yelping in pain without the actual feeling of pain. I merely make the sound of a single old piece of wood that has seen it’s fair share of hard steps throughout the decades. It usually happens when the whole house is quiet and you can hear a pin drop. Might I add It’s also when you can hear it the loudest. I’m always so embarrassed , especially when it’s a human that causes it to happen. According to their human traits my creaky sound is the equivalent to something called a “fart” in their world. Just the name alone sounds horrifying, I can only imagine how it sounds to their fellow humans. It has to be just as embarrassing if not more. But who am I to have an opinion on this ? I’m just a creaky floorboard in a old haunted house.
