POEM STARTER
Write a poem that only involves dialogue.
Remember dialogue has to be between two or more people; it cannot be a monologue. Try to make it clear which voice is speaking when.
Your Voice
She said to me
“I’ll always be here.”
But then she ran away
She acted like she thought
I would be ok
She said to me
“No one will hurt you.”
But she hurt me first
By then I knew the pain
couldn’t be reversed
They say
“It’ll stop hurting in a few days.”
But really it takes
Many sleepless nights
And restless days
And even then
I know your voice will never go away
Thanks! I am glad it connected with you
Wow. This hit close to home. Thank you for writing this:)
Painfully beautiful. The kind of read that causes you pain at each feeling and awe at each line. Love it!
