just a goodbye.

this dreaded day has come, the day i’m forever pained with your absence.

i’m out of breath twenty-four-seven gasping every molecule of your scent that lingered in the places we conversed at.

i remember telling you i hate goodbyes as much as “goodbye”,

“what a stupid concept”, there’s nothing good about the missing flesh in my heart when you go.

so we said “see you later”, i loved the irony of it.

the fact that i’d swim across the sea to see you again.

i’m swimming in a pool of fears, tears. this is the end. i’m afraid our story ends as jack and rose.

the book has ended and i’m so afraid that i keep ripping out the ending pages so no one will know that ours isn’t a happy ending.

we have sunken, my titanic

so, sea you later and i suppose it’s really a goodbye.
