Laughter trapped in the walls that have watched many children grow up,

Where we breathed innocent air, trapping ladybugs in plastics tubs,

Pictures drawn for fridges back home, planning weddings for our pet gnomes,

Trying hard to learn our abc’s, whilst creating mini homes for fallen bees,

Where boys and girls could be friends, when it was so simple for a relationship to mend,

When painting your nails meant you were cool, and dancing didn’t make you look like a fool,

Our lives were carefree and fun in that building where we were shielded from the world,

Our primary school was the heart of our childhood, when our dreams were hopeful and good.
