POEM STARTER
Write a poem about geese flying south for the winter.
Could their migration be a metaphor for something?
Spread your Wings
When autumn arrives and the air becomes brisk,
A flock of geese take no risk.
They spread their wings wide, they soar and glide,
Guided by instinct, they leave with pride.
They journey south where warm winds blow.
They chase the sun as the world turns cold.
Their flight, soaring of purpose and fate,
Reminds us all to find our place.
For like the geese, we too must roam,
Seeking the warmth of a welcoming home.
In life’s changing seasons, we sometimes must fly,
Leaving behind what no longer applies.
Embrace the unknown, let your spirit take wing,
Trust in the journey that each new dawn brings.
So when you see those geese in the sky,
Remember their lesson as they pass by.
In the face of the chill, they take to the air,
A reminder to seek warmth, to dream, and to care.
