Tiny, a brown and white mouse, scuttled under the couch and sniffs air. In the darkness she could smell her friend, Squeaky, a dark brown mouse. Squeaky comes up to her, he looks around cautiously. Tiny echoes his move.

“What are we going to do?” Squeaked Tiny softly, “The cat has covered our hole with a rock! That sneaky devil.” Tiny hissed.

“We have to find a new hiding place.”Squeaky replied.

Tiny nodded, tiny where can they another spot? The hole was the only thing that was good enough. Tiny scratch her tiny nose, trying to think of another hiding spot now that their home is blocked.

“I got an idea.” Said an unfamiliar voice from behind Tiny.

Tiny’s fur spiked, slowly, catiously she turned around and there it was. The cat devil!

“How about IN MY MOUTH!” Said the cat with a malice laugh.

Instinctively the two mice began to race from under the couch, the cat right after them. The chase seemed endless, it was only so long before the cat tires them out. Tiny looks over to Squeaky, who asked just out of breath and panicked as her.

“What are we going to do?”Cried Tiny as the chase continued on in circles.

Squeaky looked around, trying to think of a quick solution. In the midst of the chase something caught his eyes. It must’ve been a miracle sent from heaven. “There! Inside that crack!”

Both the mice raced to a tiny crack in the kitchen counter. Inside that crack was hallow. The cat howled in frustration. The two mice could giggle as the cat paced back and forth, trying to come up with a plan. The hole was two small for the cat stick their paw through.

“Great catch, Squeaky.”Tiny complimented.

Squeaky thanked her humbly. The cat overheard this.

“Great catch? The only great catch here is YOU IN MY MOUTH!!” That cat howled as they scratched at the crack.

The two mice just giggled on as the cat hisses in anger. Now the mice have the perfect home and the cat can’t do anything about it.
