The Grass Is Red (extended version)

The sky is blue

The grass is red

He didn’t tie his shoe

So he broke his head

It stained the grass

And alas

Now the grass is red

If only someone had seen

That his laces were untied

The grass might still be green

And the boy might not have died

Love this!! I really enjoyed the shorter version and this really completes it, great work

Thank you so much!

Wow, the rhyme and the story wow, it’s sad what happened to the boy

You know Olivia Rodrigo’s song Logical? And that one line that goes, “the sky is green, the grass is red”? It was stuck in my head and then I wrote this to get it out of my head and now I think it’s one of my best poems. Oh and thanks

Yea, I heard of it, I also made a poem based off of one her songs and you did you do the line justice
