Platonic Soulmates pt.3
I like you.
I don’t really enjoy falling in love
But I prefer it to falling in like
It doesn’t come with silly butterflies everytime someone says your name
It doesn’t come with too much laughter whenever we’re talking
When I’m in love
I don’t stutter
I don’t fall at first glance
When I’m in love
I’m in love with the parts of you I chose to accept
But I don’t love you,
I like you.
Or so I tell myself.
Even though there’s no stuttering
No matter how giddy I get
You get me high like a fever
You’re burning my skin
AndthatisthemostunromanticthingI’veeversaidinaromancepoem
I’m not sure what I’m feeling
But these feelings I have for you
I feel them more strongly than I ever have
Truly, I do
More than all my old boyfriends and lovers and forget-me-nots
You do something to me
I’d rather not explain
Because I never thought it could happen
To me at this age
So please stay out of my daydreams
So I can find a reason to sleep
And please stay out of my WhatsApp
So I don’t call you thrice a week
To ~O,
Please leave ny heart alone
