Anastasia looked around, she wasn’t even sure _why_. She just did.

Actually, she did know why.

Chris, the boy she’d liked for almost a year now, was sat opposite her.

Rambling on about his exes and basically throwing them under the bus.

He actually said, and she tried her hardest not to verbally scream, “She lived off instant noodles, what kinda life is that?”

Anastasia lived off instant noodles. She couldn’t live without them. But her body wouldn’t allow her to leave, she had liked him for too long.

Maybe he wasn’t that bad, maybe he was just socially awkward and wanted to talk about anything to seem interesting.

However, that would be quite maniac in Anastasia’s opinion.

She had only liked him because of his looks, and the fact he smelt like leather.

The first thing he’d said when they both sat down was, “I’m Chris.” As if they hadn’t been speaking for over a month prior.

Over text, he was a pleasure to talk to. Friendly. Not too clingy. Didn’t waffle. Most of all, he actually let her get a few words in.

There had been so many moments where Anastasia wanted to give her input, yet was cut off by him.

The worst part. He spoke with food in his mouth.

She already knew the second she got home she’d ring her bestfriend Kate and tell her every detail. Anastasia could already hear Kate’s facetious gags.

She wanted so badly to leave, yet couldn’t bring herself to.
