_(This is based off of the adult swim/[AS] videos that were popular a while back ago. I don’t relate to this but if you do I’m so sorry and I’m here to listen if you want to talk. Hope you have a great day and happy pride! Sry this isn’t a poem!)_

“Mom, Dad,” Quinn began. “I have something to tell you.”

“Yes? Go on,” their father, Oliver, stated.

“I’m nonbinary and I go by Quinn!” Quin spilled.

“What?” Ashley’s (Quinn’s mother) eye twitched.

“I am nonbinary, I don’t feel like I fit into the binary of boy or girl. I use they/them pronouns. My name is Quinn,” Quinn explained calmer and slower than the first time.

“No, you aren’t,” Oliver spoke, brows furrowed.

“Your name is Sasha and you are a girl. You are just confused and trying to follow the media,” Ashley said matter-a-factly.

“No, I am Quinn. I am nonbinary,” Quinn spoke confidently.

“Then, you aren’t my kid!” Oliver stood up and left the table.

“I don’t know who you think you are, but you are Sasha deep down. You will always be a girl,” Ashley followed her husband.

Quinn sat at the table holding back tears. They went to text their friends. They asked if they could crash at someone’s house for a few nights.

Support your kids, or don’t, they will find someone else to comfort them.
