“Matilda, contractors daughter. Wants to work here.” His employee whispered back.

He looked at the contractor.

A plump, 50 something year old man.

He looked at the lady.

She had a Greek nose like him.

Blue eyes.

She looked a lot like her father.

“What is she doing here? This metting is for employees only.”

“Dude, you signed the papers saying she could attended any mettings until she was employed.”

“One, I was sleep drunk when I signed those and two who says she will be hired?

“She’s internshiped at our sister company, he dad says she has always helped her with projects around the house, and she apprenticed Jim over there last week.”

He turned to stare at Jim.

All Jim did was wave.

And he rolled his eyes.

“Who allowed her to ap-“

“The papers.”

His employee pulled a sly grin and took a sip of his coffee.

“Hi dear,” the contractor gave he daughter a polite smile and continued talking about business.

After the metting the lady walked up to him.

To him?

“Hi I’m Matilda,” she held out her hand.

“Hi I’m-“ he was cut off.

“Daniel. The founder!”

She aggressively shook his hand.

“Yeap.”

“You look quite young. How old are you?” She locked eyes with him.

“27, I’ve been planning this business since I was 10.”

“Oh that’s so nice. I’m 26.”

She looked him up and down.

“You look good too,” she smiled and walked off.

The contractor would kill him if he dated his daughter.
