The Boy Who Loved Too Much
I stare awake at the ceiling Laying here this frozen feeling Or am I lonely or just dreaming I hear a sigh from underneath my bed
Drifting off I close my eyes Recall the time I smiled at your goodbyes Write me back I miss your replies The voice sounds familiar; it hurts my head
Your dad said you moved to Virginia I’m sure you made new friends since then, yeah? You were the only one, the joke to my dare Why didn’t you love me like him instead?
Do you think about me when you’re all alone Is it an empty house or an empty home? I wonder what your dad thinks when he’s all alone His babygirl’s eyes staring up at me -- dead.
