Write a short story about a child going missing, where it’s up to the child’s guardian angel, the monster under their bed, and their favorite stuffed animal to team up and rescue them!
Chapter 6
if the stars fell
i was young,
when the stars fell
i would think about
if i went missing, what would happen
in my mind three would rescue me
my guardian angel
would fly down from heaven
the monster beneath my bed would emerge
and my stuffed dog would unite to find me
but it my moment of need they
didn’t come
when the stars fell,
i imagine my guardian angel died,
they fell too far,
their wings singed with fire
another falling star
the monster beneath my bed,
i believe they suffocated
crushed beneath the only place
the ever knew,
poetic injustice,
stabbed by their own sword,
and my stuffed dog,
i watched her die
her stuffing burning before my eyes
when the stars fell
the didn’t save me
i had always thought they would
if the stars fell
